Director, Healthcare Compliance Counsel

About the role

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Director, Healthcare Compliance Counsel to lead compliance programs and support healthcare‑related activities across its headquarters and international markets. The role reports to the SVP, Compliance, Risk & Corporate Responsibility and is based in Copenhagen.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Business Partner for International Markets on all compliance matters, including legal review of materials.
• Support legal compliance work in Global Functions and develop, update, and maintain policies, procedures, and forms.
• Deliver face‑to‑face compliance training to colleagues.
• Conduct compliance monitoring and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Required profile

• At least 10+ years of legal compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry with international exposure.
• Legal background with extensive experience managing HCP‑related activities and conducting legal reviews.
• Proven ability to work effectively across a global matrix organization.
• Excellent cultural understanding, stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to manage multiple requirements under pressure.
