Banking Engagement Director

About the role

Mastercard Payment Services (MPS) is seeking a Banking Engagement Director to lead and deepen partnerships with banks and industry organisations across Denmark. The role will focus on managing A2A services, commercial contracts, and collaborative initiatives that support MPS’s new strategic direction toward one‑off payments, e‑commerce and embedded finance.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and grow strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the Financial Sector, including banks and industry organisations.
• Own the commercial relationship for A2A services, managing contracts, pricing, commercial terms and operational alignment across bill‑pay and infrastructure services.
• Coordinate governance forums, ensuring clear communication, documentation and follow‑up on decisions, risks and actions.
• Collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager and product organization to maintain long‑lasting partnerships.
• Report directly to the head of the Danish MPS team and serve as a member of the Danish Leadership Team.

Required profile

• Senior professional with proven experience in banking partnership and commercial relationship management.
• Strong understanding of A2A services, real‑time payment solutions and the payments ecosystem.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Fluency in English; based in Denmark.
