Service Technician – Horns Rev 3 Wind Farm

About the role

Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S is responsible for developing, building and operating Vattenfall's wind turbines in Denmark. For its established offshore wind farm Horns Rev 3, which has about 23 employees split between the site and the Esbjerg port service office, it is looking for a Service Technician. The work is mainly on duty shifts covering 7 days between 06:00 and 18:30, followed by 7 days off.

Key responsibilities

• Daily troubleshooting of turbines and support systems
• Planning, coordinating and carrying out service tasks, including ad-hoc work and follow-up on outstanding service campaign tasks
• Acting as a switchboard operator in line with EN50110
• Supporting the purchase of spare parts and consumables
• Maintaining equipment and tools on land when the weather permits
• Updating and reporting in the maintenance system

Required profile

• An electrical engineering education, preferably with experience in wind turbine operation and maintenance
• Good problem-solving skills in electrical and mechanical areas, and possibly hydraulic systems experience
• People with training in automotive, truck, agricultural machinery or machine trades are also welcome
• Fluent Danish and English, including technical English
• Team player who works independently and can handle several tasks at once

Required skills

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Hydraulics (an advantage)
• User-level IT knowledge is desirable
