Regional Head Europe - People Operations

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Regional Head Europe - People Operations to join its Global Operations Team (GOT) - People Advisory Services. The role holds regional responsibility for delivering professional, high-quality and integrated HR support across diverse employee groups and cultures, leading the regional People Advisory Services team, strengthening employee experience and turning the global HR service delivery model into effective regional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, integrated HR services across the region to strengthen employee experience.
• Lead the regional People Advisory Services team and create an engaged, purpose-driven team.
• Ensure the regional People Advisory Services structure is implemented effectively within agreed timelines and resource plans.
• Translate the global HR service delivery model into a regional, brand-agnostic implementation and resource plan.
• Review the impact of global process changes and Centre of Expertise initiatives and implement required regional changes with delivery leaders.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and promote best-practice sharing with global peers.
• Contribute to service performance measures and continuously review processes, capabilities and resources against business demand, operating-maturity and technology adoption.

Required profile

• 12-15 years of experience creating and delivering high-quality business services, preferably including HR services.
• HR generalist background in a large international organisation, including HR operations experience; shared-services experience is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership with a focus on team engagement, capability building and change.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive presence with business leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Employee-experience and customer-service orientation, with a process and continuous-improvement mindset.
• Ability to turn global operating models into practical regional plans, with a collaborative, accountable and fast-paced approach.
