Engagement Manager, M&A Operational Due Diligence

About the role

EY-Parthenon is looking for an Engagement Manager to join its Strategy and Execution team in Copenhagen. You will lead complex M&A engagements across the full deal lifecycle, from strategy to execution, working closely with clients on high-impact deals and helping to shape the team and develop future leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to pre- and post-deal engagements, including due diligence, deal strategy, synergies and operational value creation, and manage workstreams in integrations or carve-outs
• Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, and work in project teams
• Contribute to practice development initiatives
• Act as a role model, support the development of junior team members and take on recruitment and training responsibilities

Required profile

• 7-8+ years of experience in M&A strategy and execution, across pre- and post-deal engagements
• Experience in client-facing or in-house roles across the M&A cycle and operational delivery
• Strong communicator who builds inclusive relationships with clients and colleagues and takes ownership of quality and impact

Required skills

• Carve-out and operational due diligence, assessing standalone viability, cost structures and operational risks
• Value creation and synergy assessment, identifying, quantifying and tracking revenue and cost synergies
• Deal strategy and deal management, leading governance, planning and milestone tracking
