Engagement Manager - Technology in M&A

About the role

EY-Parthenon is looking for an Engagement Manager to join its Strategy and Execution team in Copenhagen. You will lead complex M&A engagements across the full deal lifecycle, from strategy to execution, working closely with clients on high-impact deals while helping to shape the team and support the development of future leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to pre- and post-deal engagements, including product and technology due diligence, digital value creation and managing workstreams for integrations or carve-outs
• Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, within project teams
• Contribute to practice development initiatives
• Act as a role model, support junior team members' development and handle recruitment and training responsibilities

Required profile

• 7-8+ years of experience in M&A strategy and execution, across pre- and post-deal engagements
• Experience in client-facing or in-house roles across the M&A cycle and operational delivery
• Strong communicator who translates complex ideas into clear, actionable insights and takes ownership of quality and impact
• Inclusive approach and strong collaboration with clients and colleagues

Required skills

• Product and technology diligence: assessing product portfolios, roadmaps, technology and R&D setups
• IT diligence: evaluating IT environments, strategy and costs, and identifying risks and opportunities
• Technology integration and separation: planning and managing technology workstreams
• Digital value creation: assessing digital and AI-driven opportunities and their implications for deal theses and post-deal value capture
