Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardiac Fibrosis Genomics

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead a two‑year project on the genomics of cardiac fibrosis. The work combines human genetic and multi‑omics data with functional validation in zebrafish to uncover mechanisms driving fibrotic remodeling of the heart.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bioinformatic analysis of large‑scale human genetic, RNA‑seq and proteomics datasets.
• Design and execute scRNA‑seq and bulk RNA‑seq experiments and analyse the results.
• Analyse proteomics data to identify fibrosis‑related pathways.
• Generate and maintain zebrafish genetic models, conduct imaging and functional assays.
• Integrate findings to pinpoint genes and pathways involved in cardiac fibrosis.

Required profile

• PhD (or near completion) in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics or a related field.
• Experience with bioinformatics and computational analysis of large datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with scRNA‑seq and/or bulk RNA‑seq analysis.
• Experience analysing proteomics data.
• Strong interest in translating human genetics into model‑organism research.
• Excellent written and spoken English and good communication skills.
