Executive Director (Member of the Board) - Denmark Division

About the role

FDCTech, Inc., a publicly traded financial technology group, operates a licensed Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in Denmark under the supervision of Finanstilsynet. As part of its European expansion, the company is looking for an Executive Director who will lead and direct the business operations in line with Danish regulations, execute corporate strategy and turn it into day-to-day results. The Executive Director also sits as a member of the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day business operations, budgets and operational efficiency so that local market operations run smoothly.
• Manage and lead the Denmark division by supervising and supporting department heads.
• Adapt global payment products for the Danish market, ensuring seamless integration with local infrastructure.
• Bridge local Danish operations with global central teams to resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
• Oversee relationships with third-party service providers, outsourced compliance auditors, local legal advisers and payment processors.
• Lead local talent acquisition, employee retention and performance management, building a high-performance FinTech culture.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in Senior Operations, COO or General Manager roles within FinTech, payments or banking.
• Proven track record of building and managing high-volume operational workflows.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent or native English; Danish is a must.

Required skills

• Deep operational knowledge of payment processing, card acquiring, merchant onboarding and cross-border payment flows.
• Hands-on experience optimising operational metrics.
