CMF Industrial Designer – Colour, Material & Finish

About the role

Shape how Coloplast products look, feel and connect with users. As a CMF Designer you will translate user insights, brand principles and product requirements into cohesive colour, material and finish directions that are both meaningful and manufacturable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop CMF concepts from early exploration through to production.
• Define colour palettes, material selections and finish specifications aligned with brand and product intent.
• Create CMF boards, renderings and physical samples to communicate design intent.
• Specify production requirements such as colour targets, finish call‑outs and durability criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers and cross‑functional teams to ensure feasibility, quality and consistency.
• Research new materials, finishes and processes to drive sustainable innovation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in CMF, industrial design or related fields.
• Degree in Industrial Design, CMF, Textile Design or a similar discipline.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating CMF thinking and product applications.
• Excellent aesthetic sensitivity, attention to detail and ability to translate trends into clear design directions.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using visualization tools such as KeyShot or Vizcom.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection moulding, coatings and printing.
• Ability to create detailed CMF specifications for production.
