Graphic Design and Communications Intern

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is looking for a motivated Graphic Design and Communications Intern to support its TAPP/JPOSC team in Copenhagen. The intern will help create visual content for internal and external audiences while gaining exposure to UN development work.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adapt graphics following UNDP branding for social media, newsletters, posters, infographics, motion graphics and videos.
• Produce digital assets for the UNDP Career website, TAPP/JPOSC web pages and social media channels, including video editing using Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Assist in managing social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and promote JPO, SDP and other young‑talent vacancies.
• Support the design of the quarterly bulletin, update JPO/SDP databases and contribute to data analysis using Excel.
• Conduct research on best practices and provide ad‑hoc support for onboarding and team activities.

Required profile

• Final year bachelor’s student, current master’s enrollee, or graduate (within 1 year) in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities and interest in working for an international organization.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects.
• Basic HTML (and optional CSS).
• Microsoft Excel for data handling.
