Student Worker – Plant Breeding (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Oterra’s Breeding team at our Taastrup facilities as a student worker. You will support the development of plant varieties used as raw materials for natural food colors, gaining hands‑on experience in greenhouse and field work, laboratory analysis, and pigment extraction.

Key responsibilities

• Sow and maintain plants in greenhouses and field plots.
• Monitor growth, evaluate traits, and harvest seeds.
• Prepare plant samples and conduct chemical analyses to measure pigment levels, composition, and colour shade.
• Assist with pigment extraction processes to create food‑color prototypes.
• Handle data entry and documentation of experimental results.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme (early stage of study).
• Some experience with laboratory work and basic analytical techniques.
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work quickly and precisely.
• Good team player comfortable in a dynamic, international environment.

Required skills
