Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuropharmacology (CaMKIIα)

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for a two‑year fixed‑term position starting 1 January 2027 to investigate the neuropharmacology of CaMKIIα using in‑house compounds. The project combines in‑vivo mouse studies with tissue‑ and cell‑based biochemical and pharmacological analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute in‑vivo experiments in mice, including pharmacological dosing and behavioral assessments.
• Conduct primary neuron cultures and perform biochemical and pharmacological assays.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.
• Participate in departmental teaching duties (approximately 100 hours per year).

Required profile

• PhD in pharmacology or neuroscience.
• Extensive experience in experimental in‑vivo pharmacology with a proven track record.
• FELASA accreditation and prior experience planning and performing mouse studies.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise students and teach at university level.
• Strong communication skills in English and a critical, independent work mindset.
