Postdoc in an EU project at Section for Health Services Research

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the EU‑funded PAL‑COPD project within the Section for Health Services Research. The position lasts 23.5 months and will start on 16 January 2027 (or as soon as possible thereafter). You will work on the Danish component of a large‑scale, stepped‑wedge cluster randomised trial evaluating a person‑centred palliative care intervention for patients with advanced COPD.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate data collection across three Danish hospitals involving approximately 200 patients.
• Ensure data quality, manage databases and support secure data handling.
• Perform statistical analyses and contribute to health‑economic evaluations.
• Prepare presentations for scientific meetings and draft manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Collaborate closely with the Danish work‑package leader and with researchers at the Palliative Care Research Unit.

Required profile

• PhD in public health, health services research, epidemiology, or a related field.
• Experience in clinical research, preferably in respiratory or palliative‑care settings.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary, international research teams.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
