Senior Construction Manager – Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

A global life‑sciences manufacturing organisation is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead a major roads and infrastructure project. The role is high‑impact, focusing on delivery, contractor alignment and strict control of schedule, cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive delivery across construction activities, ensuring timelines, cost and quality targets are met.
• Monitor contractor progress and own schedule tracking and milestone achievement.
• Oversee financial performance and support cost control in collaboration with project services.
• Conduct earned value analysis to assess performance and forecast outcomes.
• Lead coordination among contractors, internal teams and EHS stakeholders.
• Facilitate key project meetings, including construction, internal and contractor reviews.
• Manage construction‑related risk and change processes, including CMR cases.
• Promote collaboration and a one‑team culture across all project parties.
• Ensure final delivery meets required standards and stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction management on complex, large‑scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong technical background within roads and infrastructure environments.
• Proven track record of managing contractors and driving project performance.
• Experience with schedule management, cost tracking and earned value methodologies.
• Ability to operate in a multi‑stakeholder environment with strong leadership presence.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant construction or project delivery experience.
