Senior Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Automation Solutions team within the Smart Separator Systems department. You will design, program, and develop automation systems for industrial processes, contributing to standardization and innovation across applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and program control systems for automated industrial processes using Siemens and B&R platforms.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IoT/cloud experts to integrate modern software engineering practices.
• Drive adoption of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor colleagues from diverse backgrounds and support knowledge‑sharing.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and contribute to cybersecurity and connected services where possible.

Required profile

• Collaborative and driven automation engineer with strong technical depth.

Required skills

• PLC programming on Siemens and B&R platforms.
• C programming (especially for B&R).
• Version control with Git.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• IoT/cloud integration knowledge.
• Familiarity with Model‑Based Design (MATLAB/Simulink) – optional.
• Awareness of industrial cybersecurity – optional.
