Health, Safety & Product Compliance Engineer

About the role

As a Health, Safety & Product Compliance Engineer you will ensure Alfa Laval's products and operations meet the highest standards of health, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of health and safety processes across the Business Unit while driving product compliance strategies for global market access.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health & Safety processes across the Business Unit.
• Drive product compliance activities, ensuring products meet applicable regulatory and market requirements throughout their lifecycle.
• Manage certifications, declarations, and technical documentation such as CE marking, ATEX, IECEx.
• Conduct compliance gap analyses, risk assessments, and internal audits, developing mitigation plans.
• Monitor changes in international regulations and standards and ensure timely implementation.
• Train and support employees on Health & Safety and product compliance requirements.
• Act as primary contact for external certification bodies, regulatory authorities, and compliance-related audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or related technical discipline, preferably with a specialization in Health & Safety.
• Proven experience in Health & Safety, Product Compliance or a similar engineering discipline within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of global product compliance and machinery safety regulations.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills to drive cross‑functional initiatives.

Required skills

• CE marking and Machinery Directive knowledge.
• ATEX and IECEx certification processes.
• Risk assessment methodology.
• Familiarity with ISO and IEC international standards.
• Experience managing technical documentation and product certifications.
