Sales & Application Engineer (Pharma / MedTech)

About the role

Syntegon designs and manufactures highly specialized machines for the pharmaceutical and medtech industries, covering high-end processing, handling, labeling and packaging technology. As a Sales & Application Engineer you will work at the intersection of sales, application and engineering, supporting the sales team, engineering and production in creating competitive machine solutions. You will handle quotations, cost calculations, concept development and standardization of the machine portfolio, and contribute to strategies that increase sales to existing and new customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations and cost calculations for new machine projects and service deliveries
• Develop concepts and document standard and modular machine solutions
• Create and maintain price lists, quotation texts and calculation tools
• Standardize budget components to speed up and improve quotations
• Assess risks, materials and project costs and propose optimizations
• Provide pre-sales support early in the sales process with sales, engineering and production
• Support go-to-market strategies and collaborate with sales agents and partners
• Contribute to optimizing the quotation workflow, for example with LEAN principles

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education (mechanical, production, automation or electrical engineering)
• Experience with quotation costing, cost engineering or sales support, preferably in machine building or pharma/medtech
• Fluent Danish and English, written and spoken; German is a plus
• Commercial mindset, with experience in go-to-market activities and sales support
• Results-driven, structured and self-motivated, able to communicate technical messages clearly
• Willingness to coordinate and manage sales agent and partner collaborations

Required skills

• Very strong Excel skills, including building calculation models
• CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems and PLC software is an advantage
• Experience with project work and process optimization (e.g. LEAN, SCRUM)
