Project Manager - Freight Forwarding

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Project Manager for its Project Logistics product, based in Aarhus, Denmark. The role sits in the Equipment & Site Services department, which serves Project Logistics clients and includes two Operations Managers and 12 Project Managers. It calls for strong operational freight forwarding skills combined with high-level communication and coordination, and is part of a newly established team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for customers within the organization
• Coordinate and plan tailored logistics solutions for global customers
• Coordinate and execute projects, including on-ground supervision worldwide
• Drive operational excellence
• Travel to various locations of execution when requested

Required profile

• Proven project management experience
• Operational experience in freight forwarding, preferably in Project Logistics
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Well organized, with strong stakeholder management in a complex environment
• Ability to travel up to 20 days a year
