Project Manager - BMS/Data Center Projects

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for an experienced BMS Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex data center projects in construction environments. The role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. It is primarily based in the Copenhagen area with regular onsite presence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale construction projects across the data center industry.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets and risk management plans.
• Oversee full financial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting, margin analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with construction safety regulations, requirements and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate with design consultants, general contractors and client stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement, logistics and resource allocation across multiple job sites.
• Provide regular project updates to internal leadership and external clients.

Required profile

• 3+ years of project management experience in the construction or building services industry.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects.
• Understanding of construction contracts, safety legislation and project controls.
• Experience managing project P&L and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluent in Danish and English; preferred: Danish driving license.
• Preferred: background delivering projects in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, government).

Required skills

• Preferred: BMS knowledge or experience at project management level, including JCI Metasys, Easy IO, Tridium Niagara, Trend, Siemens or Schneider.
• Preferred: proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification; degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
