About the role

The Managing Director Denmark will lead Global Blue’s lean yet dynamic organization centred around Copenhagen and Kastrup Airport refund operations. This senior position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on operational involvement to drive growth and ensure day‑to‑day excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to meet short‑ and long‑term goals, including market growth and merchant partnership development.
• Oversee airport refund operations, coordinate with Refund Manager and agents, and address operational issues with merchants.
• Manage hiring, terminations, salary reviews and bonuses in line with line management.
• Maintain strong relationships with customs, airports, government bodies, banks and acquiring partners, negotiating contracts and collaborations.
• Ensure compliance with laws, company policies and provide regular reports and market insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution in a competitive Nordic market.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating diverse teams and making decisive decisions under pressure.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with merchants, authorities and partners.
• Fluent English and ability to manage multiple business functions simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP, CRM and financial/reporting systems.
