Management Consulting Intern – Economics

About the role

Ramboll Management Consulting, the economics practice of Ramboll, is looking for an Economics intern in its Aarhus office. The internship is full-time for 5 months, starting 1 February 2027 and ending 30 June 2027 (a shorter duration can be discussed). It is unpaid, though a gratuity may be given under the SU law. Interns must be currently enrolled in an ongoing academic programme and cannot take other subjects or work on a thesis during the internship.

The intern joins several project teams, often collaborating with other service practices, and helps deliver integrated, sustainable solutions through econometric and statistical analysis, data work and socioeconomic assessments of public projects and policy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct econometric and statistical analyses
• Build Excel models and interactive dashboards
• Process and clean register and/or survey data
• Carry out socioeconomic analyses and assessments of major public projects or policy initiatives (local and regional)
• Support the planning and execution of data collection
• Present analytical results in reports, briefing materials and presentations

Required profile

• Currently studying or about to start graduate studies or relevant higher education in economics
• Among the best in your class
• Relevant work experience from student jobs, internships or extracurricular activities
• Structured approach with strong analytical and conceptual abilities
• Strategic thinking, high level of abstraction and empathy for the client
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Professional English; Danish is not mandatory but beneficial
• Danish or EU citizenship; applicants from outside the EU without a valid Danish residence permit cannot be considered
