M&A Director

About the role

Ahlsell Denmark, a leading B2B distributor of technical products, services and solutions for professional customers in industry, infrastructure, construction and installation, is looking for an M&A Director. You will lead the Danish M&A agenda, reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the M&A Board together with the CEO, CFO, CCO and CPO. The role covers the full pipeline, from market analysis and target identification to valuation, due diligence, negotiation, signing and closing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Ahlsell Denmark's M&A priorities together with the M&A Board and Group M&A
• Identify and qualify relevant markets, growth platforms and acquisition targets
• Drive the M&A pipeline and each transaction through to closing
• Prepare valuations, business cases and investment proposals
• Lead due diligence, negotiations and coordination with internal and external advisors
• Ensure a smooth transition from deal to integration, focusing on synergies and value creation

Required profile

• Solid experience driving end-to-end M&A processes independently across internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with target identification, commercial assessments, valuations, business cases, due diligence, negotiations and deal execution
• Relevant higher education in economics, finance, business law or a related field
• Analytical, commercial and structured, with strong ownership and relationship-building skills
• Experience in distribution, B2B trade or related sectors is an advantage but not required
