Lead Scheduler - Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Lead Scheduler to join its team on a fully site-based role supporting a construction project. The ideal candidate has a track record on complex large-scale construction projects, such as data centre, pharmaceutical, biotech, oil & gas, industrial, logistics, manufacturing or chemical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the on-site scheduling team, reviewing internal and contractor schedules and reporting time impacts, scope changes and delays so risks can be identified early
• Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule and ensure tasks meet project requirements
• Lead the development of tender and contractual requirements, including KPIs on schedule accuracy, milestone achievement and timely programme submission for core contracts
• Develop and manage the integrated work breakdown structure and integrate contract packages into the master plan
• Review contractor schedules, recommend actions to the client and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Monitor key milestones against the baseline programme, assess contractor extension of time claims and prepare defence and recommendation reports
• Analyse the critical path and constraints, plan site logistics and propose micro-management schedules for critical work

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, focused on complex construction projects, with Data Centre experience preferred
• Experience coordinating schedule performance data into a master schedule and delivering status reports for large projects
• Strong managerial and stakeholder management experience
• Excellent command of English and strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 5 days per week required on site

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and EVM
• Experience building master schedules and producing project status reports
