(Junior) Wind Turbine Foundation Installation Engineer – Offshore Wind

About the role

Vattenfall's BA Wind develops, builds and operates onshore and offshore wind power, as well as solar and battery projects. Within the Project Delivery & Engineering department, the Transportation & Installation Engineering team delivers foundation installation methodologies for offshore wind projects across northern Europe. This position is listed internally as Cable Installation Engineer, so the contract title may differ.

Key responsibilities

• Provide offshore turbine foundation installation engineering expertise to offshore wind development projects and deliver key engineering assignments.
• Be accountable for individual projects in delivery phases, supporting the Installation Manager in delivering the Foundation Installation package across the BU Offshore portfolio.
• Handle project-specific engineering tasks in the development phase to understand and mitigate engineering risks.
• Lead HSE in the design and specification of offshore foundation installation methodologies.
• Own development work packages and help grow the Transportation & Installation Engineering team.
• Develop your own competences in project management and offshore installation methodologies.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in an offshore foundation installation context.
• Fluent English and strong intercultural awareness, willing to work across borders.
• Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills in a diverse, disciplinary environment.
• Enthusiasm for digitalization and self-motivation to apply it in the wind industry.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of offshore installation equipment and systems.
• Strong project management mindset, balancing technical, commercial and consenting imperatives.
• Good knowledge of the wind energy market.
• Experience installing offshore transmission systems is an asset.
