Health & Safety Manager

About the role

Integris Composites A/S, a leading supplier of ballistic solutions for defence and security and part of an international group, is hiring a Health & Safety Manager for its Vissenbjerg site. The role reports to the Quality & Environmental Manager within the top management team and has no personnel management responsibility. It turns workplace policy, targets and legal requirements into concrete actions and advises and challenges the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow up workplace goals and action plans in line with the company strategy
• Adapt procedures, instructions and documentation to changes in legislation
• Drive the risk assessment process, identify hazards and work with the safety organisation on action plans and follow-up
• Carry out safety inspections, investigate accidents and near misses, and set corrective and preventive measures
• Plan safety drills for fire, evacuation and emergency response
• Deliver safety induction and training on special risks and permits
• Integrate safety requirements into new buildings, investments, production lines and products
• Engage with authorities and contribute to external audits, certification and inspections

Required profile

• Practical experience driving health and safety in a production company, from risk assessment to implementation and follow-up
• Good knowledge of Danish occupational safety legislation
• Experience implementing, certifying or maintaining ISO 45001 is an advantage
• Clear communication and ability to build support among employees and managers
• Clean criminal record and a valid driving licence; the role requires PET/FE approval
