Chief People Officer (People & Culture)

About the role

BDO Danmark, a Danish-owned and managed partner-driven advisory and audit firm with more than 1,800 employees, is looking for an experienced, relationship-oriented Chief People Officer. The CPO sets the direction for People & Culture across a nationwide organisation and reports to the CEO, playing a central part in Strategy 2030, which puts people, leadership, competencies and culture at the heart of growth. The work takes place at the Aarhus C office.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for People & Culture and create coherence across recruitment, operations, learning & development and people & culture legal.
• Translate Strategy 2030 into concrete people initiatives covering leadership and competence development, talent, employer branding, culture and organisational capacity.
• Lead through independent managers and specialists while ensuring common direction, priorities and quality.
• Work closely with owners, partners, leaders and local branches, balancing shared standards with local realities.
• Bring new perspectives, digital tools and best practice to People & Culture work.

Required profile

• Higher education or equivalent and solid experience of strategic, business-oriented People & Culture leadership.
• Experience leading managers or professional groups and working closely with top management and partners.
• Clear, listening and solution-oriented, able to challenge where it adds value while keeping good relationships.
• Curious and development-minded, open to data, AI and digital solutions.
• Fluent Danish and English, written and spoken.
