Chemical Assistant (Student Assistant) for R&D

About the role

Join Coloplast's R&D department as a Chemical Assistant student assistant, supporting the EHS & Metrology team in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Safety Data Sheets in the CHESS system for the Humlebæk site.
• Control incoming Safety Data Sheets to ensure correct CLP classification.
• Create and manage labels for internal chemical mixtures.
• Assist with enquiries from the global Coloplast organisation on CHESS and other EHS matters.
• Handle various ad‑hoc tasks for the department and onsite laboratories.

Required profile

• Completed 1–2 years of university studies in chemistry, toxicology or a related field, with at least two years remaining.
• Strong interest in EHS, chemical safety and risk assessment.
• Structured, methodological and a can‑do attitude.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both spoken and written.
• Available to work 10–20 hours per week on‑site in Humlebæk.

Required skills

• Experience with Safety Data Sheets management.
• Knowledge of CLP regulation (Classification, Labelling and Packaging).
• Ability to use chemical management systems (e.g., CHESS).
