Accounting Manager

About the role

Netcompany Denmark and Netcompany Banking Services are looking for an Accounting Manager in Copenhagen. You will handle accounting topics such as annual reports, IFRS, tax, VAT and the audit process, reporting to the Head of Finance for Denmark and Banking Services and helping lead and develop the team. You translate the Group Finance framework into the local Danish context so that the business can make informed financial and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for financial reporting, annual accounts, IFRS, tax and VAT, management reporting, commercial finance and KPI forecasting.
• Support day-to-day decision making and long-term ambitions within the Denmark and Banking Services Finance leadership team.
• Translate Group Finance frameworks, standards and ambitions into the local Danish context and ensure they are implemented well.
• Help build a culture focused on quality, ownership, collaboration and continuous development.
• Support the adoption of AI-enabled tools and ways of working, contributing to a more digital, automated and insight-driven finance function.

Required profile

• Relevant master's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a comparable field.
• 3-6 years of experience in accounting, audit or a similar field.
• Proven experience with IFRS standards and financial compliance and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an interest in developing people.

To succeed, you will provide reliable insights for decision making, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, translate Group standards into local processes, identify improvements to financial performance and reporting, and contribute to the move toward the new Finance system landscape, including an AI-driven Finance application.
