Staff Insights Engineer

About the role

Dreamdata is looking for a Staff Insights Engineer to own and scale the data foundation behind its B2B marketing benchmarks. This highly technical role sits at the intersection of analytics engineering, data science and data‑warehouse ownership, working closely with the marketing team to deliver fast, trustworthy insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the self‑service data layer, warehouse models, pipelines and tests.
• Define aggregation, anonymisation and cohort thresholds, ensuring statistical methodology is sound.
• Translate marketing questions into defensible, repeatable data answers and reduce turnaround time.
• Provide technical sign‑off on published benchmarks and act as reviewer for data‑driven claims.

Required profile

• Deep production‑level SQL expertise, including window functions and query optimisation at warehouse scale.
• End‑to‑end data‑engineering experience with dimensional modelling, dbt or Dataform, CI/CD and documentation.
• Strong statistical grounding – sampling, confidence intervals, significance testing and bias handling.
• Experience publishing anonymised customer data with strict privacy rules.
