Sommelier / Wine Server

About the role

Great Northern, a destination resort in Kerteminde combining hotel, spa, golf, performance and gastronomy, is looking for a sommelier or experienced wine server for its restaurant. You will join the Front of House team with a special professional responsibility for wine, helping develop the wine experience while taking an active part in daily restaurant service.

Key responsibilities

• Advise guests on wine and other drinks
• Work actively in daily restaurant service
• Contribute to developing the wine list and wine by the glass
• Cooperate with the kitchen on menu and wine pairings
• Share your knowledge and develop the wine expertise of the team
• Contribute to the overall guest experience

Required profile

• Sommelier, skilled waiter with strong interest in wine, or someone who has built expertise through practical experience
• The title does not matter; what matters is that you can serve wine, work in a restaurant and deal with people
• Able to adapt your wine knowledge from table to table, offering depth to some guests and simple recommendations to others
