Senior Damage Actuary

About the role

PwC is looking for an experienced damage actuary to join its Actuarial and Risk Modelling Services team in Copenhagen. The team works with clients inside and outside finance on risk understanding and data-driven decisions, covering life, damage and banking lines, and also handles insurance company audits in the Nordic countries. As a senior damage actuary you will play a central role in damage insurance assignments and the team's development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide actuarial advice on pricing, reserves and capital modelling
• Support insurance company audit work in Denmark and the Nordic region
• Support actuarial and risk management functions and the interpretation and implementation of regulation
• Contribute to due diligence, M&A support and new client assignments
• Review and coach junior actuaries

Required profile

• At least five years of relevant experience in insurance
• Deep knowledge of reserves, pricing or capital modelling
• Insight into Danish accounting standards and Solvency II, or willingness to build it
• Clear communication of complex issues in Danish and English
• Comfortable with responsibility, teamwork and a leading role
• Relevant degree such as cand.act., cand.oecon. or cand.scient. (experience with IFRS 17, audit or other lines is an advantage but not required)
