Senior Construction Manager - Data Center Project

About the role

Turner & Townsend Denmark is looking for an experienced, site-based Senior Construction Manager to work on a major data center project. The role plans and carries out quality assurance and quality control activities for several construction contractors, overseeing industrial processes, materials and products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage governance, communication and management control systems for the client's essential services and works.
• Review contractor organisations and recommend alignment measures, and interface management between contractors.
• Monitor team performance and initiate safety or performance improvements, and audit compliance with management systems.
• Take an active part in project risk management, identifying risks and driving mitigation.
• Run weekly technical and progress meetings, and lead daily site progress reviews covering HSE, logistics and progress against the programme.
• Manage client stage gateway reviews, conditions precedent, design deliverables, fast-track procurement and permitting.
• Produce formal progress reports against baseline and milestones, and present to the Employer's representative.
• Manage contracts and the timely issuance of invoices and receipts.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction.
• Bachelor's degree or related construction experience.
• Line management experience.
• Commercial awareness, including familiarity with financial management for project tracking and forecasting.
• Ability to multi-task, manage several projects at once and work well in a team.

Required skills

• Understanding of contract documents, specifications and project plans.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimation and of payment applications, change orders and other construction financial documents.
• Computer skills: Microsoft 365 or Google Suite, BIM360, MS Project, Bluebeam/Adobe, OneNote, construction project management software.
