Senior Backend Engineer, Audio Processing

About the role

Corti is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build high‑scale audio processing infrastructure for critical communication centers such as emergency dispatch and hospitals. You will integrate AI capabilities into SIP‑based environments, ensuring low‑latency, reliable performance for life‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain systems that process over 100,000 calls per day.
• Develop foundational infrastructure using SIP and SIPREC network protocols.
• Integrate AI capabilities into low‑latency, high‑throughput audio pipelines.
• Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Participate in design and code reviews and mentor developers of all levels.

Required profile

• Mastery of Golang with a proven track record of building and scaling core infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of SIP and SIPREC protocols.
• Experience designing and operating cloud‑native, event‑driven architectures (REST, WebSockets, Kafka).
• Hands‑on experience with containers, orchestration tools, and monitoring production systems.
• Excellent English communication skills for fully remote collaboration.
