Quality Lead - Data Centres

About the role

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company, majority-owned by CBRE Group, with a Data Centre business that is expanding in Germany. It is recruiting a Quality Lead to join its Data Centre team in Fredericia. The role involves close liaison with the client's representative, coordinating contractors and consultants, and taking the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects.

Key responsibilities

• Close liaison with the client's representative to meet the project's quality requirements
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants, and plan and allocate QC resources for on-site and off-site witness inspections
• Perform audits and field inspections requested by the client, and review and approve all ITPs and checklists
• Walk sites with the client or consultant to verify quality requirements
• Recruit qualified QC personnel and plan witnessing of commissioning
• Present quality issues to the client weekly and escalate significant ones, and attend weekly coordination meetings with client, consultants and contractors
• Review contractors' QC resources, generate weekly and daily quality reports, and lead weekly QA/QC meetings with contractors and internally
• Ensure quality dossiers are in the client's documentation system, validate as-built drawings, and evaluate QC personnel performance

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in data centre facility maintenance, operation and/or construction
• At least 5 years of direct experience in QC and/or commissioning, and experience managing a quality program
• Experience in construction scheduling, project administration and/or project management
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is considered beneficial
• Manufacturing or industry QA/QC formal qualification preferred
• Consultant PM experience on large-scale mission-critical projects, with detailed knowledge of data centre pre-construction, build-to, handover/commissioning and post-turnover processes
