Product Compliance Manager

About the role

As the Product Compliance Manager you will ensure Alfa Laval’s membrane products meet all relevant regulatory, legal and industry requirements across the markets we serve. You will work closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, Sourcing, Engineering and other stakeholders to embed compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance strategies for new and existing membrane products.
• Monitor legislation, standards and regulatory developments and assess their impact on products.
• Identify compliance risks and create mitigation plans.
• Coordinate product testing, certification and approval activities.
• Prepare, review and maintain compliance documentation such as certificates, declarations and technical files.
• Ensure products meet entry requirements for target markets and support teams with guidance.
• Work with regulatory authorities, third‑party labs, certification bodies and customers.
• Lead compliance‑related projects to strengthen processes.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of product compliance or regulatory affairs experience, preferably in food, pharma or a related regulated industry.
• Master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or a related field; PhD is a plus.
• Proven experience with product testing, certification and approval across multiple markets.
• Project management experience coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Food Contact Material regulations (EU, USA, China, Japan), REACH, USDA, CE, RoHS and cyber‑security requirements.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
