Product Expert – Fresh Water Generators (Service)

About the role

Alfa Laval’s Marine Solutions Business Unit is seeking a Product Expert for Fresh Water Generators (service). You will provide technical product support to customers, field service teams and internal groups, ensuring high service quality and contributing to product development.

Key responsibilities

• Answer technical tickets and product questions from service development managers.
• Consult on Engineering Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) projects, documenting solutions for automation and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and publish service bulletins, maintaining a comprehensive archive.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product documentation such as part catalogues and manuals.
• Support the training team by delivering hands‑on training for service engineers and partners.
• Participate in the creation of repair methods, technical instructions and resolution of customer claims.

Required profile

• University degree in mechanical, electrical, marine engineering or a related field.
• 5‑6 years of experience in a technical role within marine or desalination systems.
• Strong knowledge of vessel engine rooms, marine water production and energy‑efficiency concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
