Postdoc in Impact Evaluation of Social Welfare Policies on Child Health

About the role

The project investigates how major Danish social welfare reforms affect child health using population‑wide register data. As a postdoctoral researcher you will join the Social Epidemiology Research Group to contribute to rigorous impact evaluation and knowledge translation.

Key responsibilities

• Process and analyse large administrative register datasets.
• Write and co‑author scientific articles in collaboration with the research team.
• Present findings at workshops, seminars and conferences.
• Teach and disseminate research results to students and stakeholders.

Required profile

• PhD in epidemiology, public health, sociology, economics or a related discipline.
• Experience in applied statistics and causal inference methods.
• Background in social epidemiology or health‑inequalities research.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Track record of writing and submitting academic papers.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata or SAS.
• Strong skills in handling and analysing large datasets.
• Applied statistical modelling and causal inference techniques.
