Part-time Professor – Environmental & Climate Economics

About the role

The University of Copenhagen’s Department of Economics seeks a part-time professor to lead research and teaching in Environmental and Climate Economics. The appointment is permanent, starting 1 November 2026 (or as soon as possible), and will contribute to the department’s international reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct world‑class research in Environmental and Climate Economics.
• Teach, supervise and examine undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Lead the research project on the economic, environmental and climate effects of the “Aftale om et Grønt Danmark” agreement.
• Secure and manage external research grants.
• Perform administrative duties and contribute to departmental governance.
• Disseminate research findings to the broader public and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive research experience in Environmental and Climate Economics.
• Proven record of knowledge sharing with the public.
• Ability to meet the University of Copenhagen’s academic merit criteria (research, teaching, innovation, societal impact, leadership).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CGE models GrønREFORM and TargetEcon.
