About the role

Engstrandskolen is looking for an enthusiastic kindergarten class leader who is passionate about creating a supportive learning environment for our youngest students. The role involves working closely with a second adult throughout the school day (8:15‑13:00) to ensure high wellbeing and effective learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver active, creative, and varied teaching sessions that integrate movement and artistic activities.
• Support smooth transitions from kindergarten to the first grade and from the school day to the after‑school program (SFO).
• Collaborate with colleagues across the year‑group and department to organize cross‑grade activities.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with parents, treating the partnership as a valuable resource.
• Monitor and document each child’s academic and personal development in a structured manner.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a pedagogical education.
• Experience in a kindergarten class is an advantage.
• Strong relational skills and the ability to lead a classroom confidently.
• Ambitious, motivated, and eager to contribute to both social and academic growth of pupils.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
