Statistical Programmer – SDTM Specialist

About the role

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Senior/Specialist Statistical Programmer to join its biometrics team in Hellerup. You will contribute to the development and evolution of metadata‑driven SDTM programming supporting clinical data analysis for endocrine and rare disease programs.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to planning, development, and continuous improvement of SDTM deliverables.
• Develop automated, metadata‑driven programming solutions for clinical trials.
• Optimize metadata and its application across projects.
• Review clinical trial data and specifications to ensure high‑quality, inspection‑ready deliverables.
• Support metadata validation and quality control activities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with international colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, life sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SAS programming experience on clinical trials within pharma/biotech/medical‑device industry.
• Experience developing and validating SDTM datasets following CDISC standards.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory submission requirements.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused and able to take ownership of tasks.
