Associate Director, Product Innovation

About the role

Ascendis Pharma is seeking an Associate Director to lead product innovation, focusing on new drug candidates and therapeutic opportunities. Based in Hellerup, you will work closely with executive management and cross‑functional teams to shape the future pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new drug candidates and indications of interest through in‑depth disease and market analysis.
• Produce high‑quality reports and pitch decks that inform executive decision‑making.
• Act as a strategic partner to early research projects and support key business decisions with deep‑dive analytics.
• Monitor scientific literature, analyst reports, and regulatory updates, sharing insights with stakeholders.
• Establish processes, structures, and templates to support company growth.

Required profile

• PhD in life sciences with post‑doctoral experience from a leading institution.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in pharma or biotech, preferably in research or business development.
• Strong biological expertise and a proven track record in lead finding and drug development.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and high scientific integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with public and private databases such as Patsnap, Cortellis, Globaldata, Evaluate.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Professional level English, both written and spoken.
