Souschef – Restaurant GALLERY

About the role

The kitchen of the new restaurant GALLERY, part of Great Northern, is looking for a Souschef who will work alongside the Head Chef as a central figure in both gastronomy and daily leadership. The restaurant is a standalone destination restaurant, and you will join from the start and help shape its working methods, culture and development.

Key responsibilities

• Daily planning and running of the kitchen
• Maintaining quality and consistency of dishes
• Developing and training the kitchen team
• Managing stock, mise en place and organisation
• Menu and dish development together with the Head Chef
• Working closely with the restaurant team
• Creating a professional and orderly working culture

Required profile

• A strong culinary foundation and experience in ambitious kitchens
• Precise, responsible and able to lead while keeping an overview when things get busy
• Interest in developing both gastronomy and the people around you
