Senior Software Engineer – Mainframe Payments (MPG)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Mainframe Payments (MPG) team in Copenhagen. You will design, develop and maintain batch‑processing solutions that support global payment and clearance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new batch processing solutions.
• Architect and own operational solutions for the mainframe environment.
• Provide operational support, testing and maintenance for existing applications.
• Define design standards, create documentation and ensure quality assurance on changes.
• Proactively respond to incidents and support incident resolution.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of payment and clearance systems, especially Nets.
• Experience with mainframe z/OS operating system and related tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Danish and English.
• Ability to collaborate across the organization and build strong internal networks.
