Principal Consultant - BIM

About the role

Turner & Townsend Digital Europe is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its growing team and help implement BIM on behalf of clients across Europe. The role involves co-managing the BIM team, taking on line management duties and being responsible for project delivery. It is based close to Fredericia, Denmark, on a Datacenter project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the team in implementing BIM on major projects, programmes and across portfolios.
• Author key BIM documentation such as Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements and BIM Execution Plans.
• Assess project teams' BIM competency, advise on BIM Execution Plans and approve them on behalf of the client where necessary.
• Ensure BIM standards are followed, report key risks and mitigations, and chair BIM workgroups and technical sessions.
• Lead model assurance activities, including strategy, model analysis and reporting.
• Research and implement new technologies, processes and best practices, and develop in-house standards.
• Support tender bidding teams in winning future work.

Required profile

• A qualified professional in a relevant discipline with five or more years of experience in a BIM environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and other relevant local standards and guidelines.
• Ideal: previous experience on a major project, programme or large portfolio, and evidence of BIM courses.
• Enthusiastic, proactive self-starter with strong communication and analytical skills, numerate and computer literate.
• Proven client-facing experience and multidisciplinary working practice.

Required skills

• Competence in at least one model checking or model authoring tool: Solibri, Autodesk Navisworks, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Bentley AECOsim, Vectorworks, Revit, or Autodesk Construction Cloud/360.
• Understanding of design, BIM and procurement in planning and construction management.
