Postdoctoral Scientist – Enhancer Regulation in Stem Cells

About the role

The Brickman Lab at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, seeks a motivated postdoctoral scientist to investigate enhancer function, signaling interfaces, and cell‑cycle influences in stem‑cell and embryo models. The position runs for 2.5 years starting 1 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments on stem‑cell‑based embryo models and mouse embryos.
• Perform next‑generation sequencing, advanced imaging, and molecular assays to study enhancer activation.
• Analyze data using computational models of early development.
• Collaborate with an international interdisciplinary team to develop technologies for in‑vitro cell‑type specification.
• Prepare manuscripts and present findings at conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in molecular biology, developmental biology, stem‑cell biology or a related field.
• Strong interest in transcriptional regulation, enhancer biology, and developmental signaling.
• Experience working with mouse or human stem cells and embryo models.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
