About the role

Global Blue by Shift4 is the industry leader in tax-free shopping solutions, connecting shoppers and brands worldwide. As Managing Director Denmark, you will oversee one of its leanest but most dynamic organizations, centred on Copenhagen and the Kastrup Airport refund operations. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement, working closely with your manager to shape and implement the country strategy while engaging with merchants, airport stakeholders, Customs (SKAT) and your internal team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and execute business strategies, prepare business plans and lead strategy reviews and business development initiatives
• Drive market growth by hunting and farming merchant partnerships
• Ensure excellence in airport refund operations, coordinating with the Refund Manager and refund agents
• Support and supervise Key Account Managers, and handle day-to-day operational issues with merchants, including IT-related matters
• Manage hiring, terminations, salary reviews and bonus decisions in line with line management
• Maintain relations with partners, authorities and government bodies, negotiate airport operational contracts and lead relationships with banks and acquiring partners
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules and company policies, provide monthly reports and market insights to upper management, and oversee communications and key documentation

Required profile

• Strong leadership, able to motivate diverse teams and act as the face of Global Blue in Denmark
• Able to diagnose business issues quickly and take decisive action when performance deviates from expectations
• Comfortable combining strategy with operational immersion and managing multiple business functions at once
• Fluent English is required
