Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

GEA is looking for a manager to lead its Procurement and Supply Chain department in Skanderborg, within the Liquid Technologies department serving the food and dairy industries. You will lead a team covering strategic procurement, operational procurement, project procurement and logistics, and influence procurement strategy across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure procurement is involved early in projects in the Nordic region, working with Project Management, Engineering, Finance and Sales to optimise processes and efficiency.
• Coordinate project requirements with procurement activities and be accountable for cost efficiency, quality and on-time delivery.
• Act as the link between local business units and divisional leadership, and review and support category strategies.
• Identify cost-saving and cash-improvement opportunities, drive demand reduction and improve procurement processes, KPIs and operational efficiency.
• Take part in project gate reviews, ensure compliance with procurement policies and sustainability objectives, and report performance to management.

Required profile

• Solid procurement experience and a proven management position.
• Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a similar field.
• Experience with project procurement, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement and supply chain strategies.
• Fluent English and comfort in a complex international environment.

Required skills

• SAP Ariba, S/4HANA and MDG.
