Lean / Operational Excellence Engineer

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is looking for a Lean / Operational Excellence Engineer (Continuous Improvement Engineer) in Horsens. The role improves flow, stability and efficiency across production processes, working with Team Leaders, the Production Manager and the OPEX manager, as well as colleagues from QA, Engineering and Maintenance. It is an onsite position, 5 days a week, with no relocation provided.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize production processes for efficiency, quality and waste reduction
• Identify, prioritize and run continuous improvement projects with production
• Facilitate LEAN initiatives, performance meetings and structured problem-solving
• Monitor KPIs and production data, preparing analyses and visual reports
• Help standardize work processes and implement sustainable improvements
• Work with QA, Engineering and Maintenance to optimize equipment and processes
• Contribute to technical documentation, process specifications and validation activities where relevant

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a business, operations, technical, mechanical or industrial engineering discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with production leadership and demonstrated operational improvement
• Experience in a production environment, preferably with knowledge of LEAN, GMP and process optimization
• Fluent Danish and English

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into practical improvements
• KPI follow-up, preferably with Power BI or similar tools
• Problem-solving, facilitation and clear communication with both leaders and operators
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

The annual base salary range is DKK 496,320 to DKK 631,680; up to 13 business days of travel per year (5%) and possible variable compensation.
