Head of Safety and Resilience Assurance

About the role

Maersk is seeking a visionary leader to drive the next phase of Safety & Resilience Assurance across its global operations. The role will transform a compliance‑focused assessment into an embedded capability that improves operational performance and reduces risk.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the future vision for Site Maturity Assessment and Safety & Resilience Assurance.
• Partner with senior leaders across business units, regions and functions to embed assurance into everyday operations.
• Build scalable frameworks that deliver measurable improvements in resilience, risk reduction and operational excellence.
• Lead a global assurance capability, fostering a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience in a large, complex international organization.
• Proven track record of leading operational excellence, transformation, assurance or risk programmes.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and creating scalable governance frameworks.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of operational risk management and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to translate assurance insights into actionable performance improvements.
