Global Client Manager, Aid & Relief

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Global Client Manager for its Aid & Relief business to lead strategic customer partnerships and develop resilient supply‑chain solutions for humanitarian organisations. The role is based in Denmark (Aarhus or Copenhagen) and offers the chance to shape Maersk’s global Aid & Relief proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of strategic Aid & Relief customers and prospects, driving growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute global account plans, stakeholder strategies and opportunity pipelines aligned with customer priorities.
• Lead commercial strategy for global tenders, contract negotiations and major opportunities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional account teams across sales, product, solution design, operations and local client management.
• Translate complex humanitarian logistics requirements into integrated solutions across ocean, air, landside, warehousing, customs and project logistics.
• Manage contract compliance, strategic business reviews, continuous improvement and escalation processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in global account management, strategic sales or business development, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding or shipping.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in revenue, profitability and pricing management.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence across organisational and geographical boundaries.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and willing to travel internationally as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Aid & Relief supply chains and humanitarian procurement processes.
• Understanding of logistics products, international trade, cross‑trade movements and Incoterms.
